Sift the sands of existence-

With the sieves

Of understanding and adjustment.

Repeatedly wash

With the waters of compassion

The grit of judgments and intolerance

Before they dry up and harden.

Sit on the banks

Of the river of your mind.

Hold the pan of trust and

Sift the sands of existence

Ready to dredge some gold

that is glorious in its naked  innocence.

The shiny specks of glittering golden love

Found in the growing mound of silt and soil

are always there,

buried in the dark hard corners of the river.

It takes courage and faith

to continue to dredge the murky waters

with wonder and pleasure

in order to find the hidden treasure

of shiny unconditional love that you are

Are you ready

to do some Gold-Panning?

Come with me………

  1. Vicki says:

Yep, I am willing to search out the golden specks amidst the mud! Great work Padma (didn’t know you knew enough about gold panning to write this!).

  2. The surprises hidden in us that ‘wow’ us are also the glittering gold we constantly search for – don’t you think? Thank you very much for your comments and support
