How Are You Feeling?

Are you feeling angry, confused, overwhelmed, weighed down, closed and clamped shut?

Do you find it difficult to stay in Love when things in your control and outside your control start falling apart?

I go through that occasionally and when world events escalate, those feelings magnify even more.

With everything that happened in the last week world wide, the despair of unheard anguishes displayed in violent acts, I have two burning questions:

Why are we not listening to each other?  and

What do we need to do to remember who we are?

I don’t have an answer for the first question, but the second question can be addressed through a prayer.  So, I felt this urgent need to revive a poem that I wrote last year and here it goes.

Lift The Lid Of My Soul

As the pages of life turn

With tireless changing seasons,

As days roll into years

And life’s Hammer Blows

Sandstorms and

Tsunamis

shut the lid of my soul,

Help me remember

That the deep cracks and crevices

Carved by wind, water and grit

carry Your bubbles of Love –

A hydraulic pressure

to lift the lid of my soul

and reveal

its ravaged and blemished beauty.
